Dear Friends of OCF,
Compliments of the Season!
As 2025 draws to a close, we wish to express our heartfelt appreciation for your support and dedication, your belief in our mission has helped us touch lives and bring meaningful change to vulnerable and underprivileged individuals.
Here is a quick rundown of our activities in the last two months…
Ihe Residents in Nsukka Receive Free Healthcare Services
November began on a ‘healthy‘ note as OGEMEK reached over 130 community members at Ihe community in Nsukka Local Government, Enugu State, with a range of healthcare services including General medical consultations, Dental care, Eye screenings, prostate screening and Distribution of essential medications and medicated eyeglasses.

Beyond community health outreach, OGEMEK Charity Foundation in November, also deepened its impact through a landmark collaboration with Carmelite Prisoners’ Interest Organization. Together, both organizations delivered medical care to over 50 inmates during a prison outreach in Nsukka.

December Highlights
Free Health Outreach at Enugu Correctional Facility with CAPIO
Building on the progress recorded in November, OGEMEK Charity Foundation continued its partnership with Carmelite Prisoners’ Interest Organization into December. In the first week of the month, both organizations carried out another prison medical outreach, this time at the Enugu Custodial Centre, following the earlier
visit to Nsukka. The outreach reached over 74 inmates, including both men and women, who received eye examinations, general medical consultations, and blood sugar checks. Medicated glasses and essential eye medications were also provided.

Christmas Charity Outreach
More opportunities for collaborations continued as we partnered UNTH Foundation, an organization that supports vulnerable people and indigent patients, for a Christmas charity outreach at Enugu Mall. The outreach focused on basic health checks alongside palliative support, with food items, meals, and drinks shared with beneficiaries.

Strategic Working Visit and Partnerships
The second week for us at OGEMEK was shaped by a series of strategic working visits aimed at deepening community impact. We paid courtesy visits to Rt. Hon. Chima Obi-Eze, Member representing Ezeagu at the Enugu State House of Assembly, and Hon. Johnson Ani, Majority Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly. These engagements opened important pathways for future constituency projects and laid the groundwork for an outreach that was successfully carried out later in December, reaching vulnerable individuals and families within the community.

During the same period, OGEMEK also paid a courtesy visit to the UNTH Foundation, strengthening plans for expanded collaboration in 2026 with a shared focus on supporting vulnerable and indigent members of the community.

Akama-Oghe Community Outreach
The year wrapped up with the annual Christmas outreach at Akama Oghe in Ezeagu LGA, Enugu State, where over 700 residents received medical care, relief items, and food. This initiative, in partnership with Rt. Hon. Chima Obieze, reflected OGEMEK’s continued commitment to supporting vulnerable community members.

Celebrating Our Team
At OGEMEK, we believe that charity truly begins at home. As the year came to a close, we chose to celebrate our volunteers, team members, partners, and friends; as a simple way of saying thank you for the commitment, time, and heart they poured into the work throughout the year.
