Abigail Wright (FCCA) is an accomplished financial executive with more than 16 years of experience in financial leadership, governance, and strategic management within complex institutional environments.

She has served as Chief Financial Officer at Newbold College of Higher Education since June 2014. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team reporting directly to the Board, Abigail provides strategic oversight of finance, estates, and service departments. Her responsibilities encompass long-term financial strategy, governance and regulatory compliance, capital expenditure control, risk management, and stewardship of significant organisational assets.

In her executive capacity, she works closely with trustees, auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders to maintain robust internal controls, financial transparency, and long-term sustainability. She has a strong track record of strengthening governance frameworks, enhancing financial reporting standards, and improving institutional accountability.

Earlier in her career, Abigail gained valuable experience within the telecommunications sector, where she contributed to board reporting, multi-entity cash flow forecasting, VAT compliance, and balance sheet integrity across several European jurisdictions. This experience further deepened her expertise in financial oversight within regulated and multi-entity structures.

Beyond her executive leadership roles, Abigail served for eight years as an Executive Member of the South England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, contributing to strategic direction, fiduciary oversight, and organisational governance at conference level.

Since 2023, Abigail has supported OGEMEK Charity Foundation in an advisory capacity and currently serves as a Non-Executive Board Member, bringing strategic financial insight and governance expertise to support the Foundation’s mission and long-term impact.
