As part of efforts to expands its impact and build sustainable partnerships, Ogemek Charity Foundation was officially launched on March 28, 2026, at Amadeo   Event Centre in Enugu,

bringing together partners, supporters, and members of the public, including beneficiaries whose lives have already been impacted by the foundation’s work.

Although formally registered in 2021, the foundation was founded in 2019 and began its early operations in Awka. Its journey since then has been marked by steady growth and expanding reach. In July 2025, the foundation relocated to Enugu State, where it is now headquartered, positioning itself for broader engagement and deeper impact.

Between July 2025 and January 2026, the foundation has impacted over 2,500 lives through a range of interventions, including health outreaches, medical and food support, scholarships, educational assistance, and skills empowerment programmes. The presence of some of these beneficiaries at the launch added a personal dimension to the event.

Speaking during the gathering, the Co- founder and Chief Executive Officer, Frederick Iloegbune, shared insights into the foundation’s direction, particularly its focus on improving access to healthcare for vulnerable populations. He highlighted plans to introduce a health insurance support initiative for indigent patients, in partnership with the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Foundation.

Also speaking was the Co-founder, Mrs. Amanda Ogechi Iloegbune, who reflected on the passion behind the initiative and reiterated the foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities, while calling for sustained support and collaboration.

The event, which brought together a diverse audience, was chaired by Hon. Chima Obieze, member representing Ezeagu at the Enugu State House of Assembly, who spoke on the importance of intentional giving and partnerships in driving meaningful impact. His remarks set the tone for the contributions that followed, as guest speakers, including Prof. Joy Onyesoh, Rev. Fr Jude Isiguzo, and High Chief Cosmas Ogugua Agagbo, each offered perspectives on the need for collective action in supporting vulnerable groups.

Beyond the formal sessions, key  highlights included the unveiling of customized Ogemek T-shirts and the announcement of plans to roll out health insurance coverage for indigent patients, moments that drew attention to both the identity and the direction of the foundation. These were complemented by series of entertainment and fun moments.

Meanwhile, Support for the foundation was evident through the presence of partners and sponsors such as UNTH Foundation, Superlative Fitness, Treasure Heights Schools, Platinum luxury Apartments, Powell Foundation alongside other media partners, such as Dream Fm, Urban Radio, Solid Fm and other reputable online news platforms.

The event, however, attracted a distinguished audience, including the CEO of Nondon Hotel and Apartments, Bishop Ugo Wems, members of Coal City Fitness Club, and executive members of Exclusive Fitness Club, among other notable groups and personalities. Their presence reflected a growing network of individuals and groups committed to advancing community support and driving meaningful social impact.
